conference.as (“we”, “us”) publishes a directory of engineering, IT asset management and AI conferences. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the site, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

• Usage data. Standard analytics, such as pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, device and browser type, collected only if you consent to it via the cookie banner.
• Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and pass it to our email provider (EmailOctopus) to send updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
• Contact form and event submissions. If you contact us or submit a conference for listing, we collect the name, email address and message or event details you provide, solely to respond to you or review the submission.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We are a directory for engineers, not a data brokerage.

Legal basis and your rights

Data retention

We keep contact form and event submission data only as long as needed to respond to or process the request. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider’s standard retention period.

Third parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and (with consent) our analytics provider. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above.
